Suna
A somatic intelligence system that reads your biology and prescribes the right 3-minute reset
Project Overview
The Challenge
High performers run on compounding stress chemistry that off-the-shelf wellness apps cannot see. Generic meditation libraries hand the user a recommendation with no awareness of their actual physiological state, so the practice rarely matches what the nervous system needs in that moment. The brief was a tool that listens to the body first and prescribes second.
The Solution
Suna pairs a 60-second PPG scan, run through the phone camera and flash, with a self-reported state from the six-state Founders Spectrum (Reactive, Anxious, Wired, Open, Dimmed, Stuck). A priority-override decision tree maps the live Baevsky Stress Index and HRV against the time of day and selected pill to choose one of twelve 3-minute somatic practices, grouped into Anchors (down-regulate), Sparks (up-regulate), and Flow (coherence). A 30-second post-practice scan calculates the percentage drop in system tension and reveals it as a Capacity gain on a side-by-side glass card comparison.
The Result
Shipped on iOS as a native Swift app with a Liquid Glass interface and rotating somatic insight copy that turns the 60-second measurement into the first beat of the practice. Every session ends with quantified before-and-after proof, moving the user from a generic library experience into a precise, real-time biological prescription.
Three Biological Actions
Suna's decision tree routes every session to one of three categories, picked from the live scan, the user's selected state, and the time of day.
Anchors
Down-regulate when the system is brittle or activated. Physiological Sigh, Deep Resonance Hum, and the Weighted Horizon drop tension and offload CO2.
Sparks
Up-regulate out of depleted or static states. Solar Breath, Somatic Shake, and the Dawn Chorus safely raise sympathetic tone and clear freeze.
Flow
Lock in coherence and widen the window. Box Breath, the Coherent Wave, and a 3D Spatial Audio Reset hold the user in calm alertness under pressure.
The Founders Spectrum
Six self-reported states cover every major mode of a high-performance day, and feed the same decision tree as the objective scan.
Outward stress. The system is meeting the world with too much edge.
Inward stress. The pressure has turned in on itself.
Physical stress. Energy is online but not yet useful.
The gold standard. Alert, available, and resourced.
Low energy. The lights are on but the current is faint.
No energy. The system has shut the doors and pulled the blinds.
Scan. Practice. Verify.
Every session closes the loop with measurable proof, calculated from the percentage drop in the Baevsky Stress Index.
Camera PPG Scan
A finger on the lens drives a Liquid Glass aura that pulses with the detected heartbeat.
Prescribed Practice
One of twelve somatic practices, chosen by the priority override against time, scan, and pill.
Verify Scan
A quick re-scan calculates the drop in system tension and reveals it as a Capacity gain.
